Thrive Psychology
Welcome
Renee Joslin, Registered Psychologist B.Ed, MACP
I have worked in the therapy field for almost 20 years now. It’s true that time flies when you are having fun!

In 2006; I transitioned from being a teacher with Wild Rose Public Schools to supporting students in a school counselor role. I enjoyed working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 as I traveled to 5 different schools each week. Before leaving the school system, I spent my final three years working as a behavior consultant for 16 schools and supported the school division’s counseling staff as their clinical supervisor. In 2012, I relocated to Red Deer and worked as a mental health counselor in healthcare at the Red Deer Primary Care Network for almost 10 years.

As a lifelong learner and teacher, I still enjoy working in education and any given year I teach one or two courses at Red Deer Polytechnic. I love facilitating workshops and doing psychoeducational presentations and have been fortunate to present across Canada and in the U.S.

The greatest career I’ve ever had is being a psychologist. I love working with clients who are ready to embrace more wellbeing, peace and clarity in their lives. I aim to offer a safe, non-biased therapeutic experience where I can hold space for you to explore who you truly are. Since 2015, I have been in private practice and enjoy supporting teenagers and adults of all ages and stages of life.
I am in awe of the resilience, perseverance, and authenticity that my clients bring to sessions. This enhances your ability to thrive and live a more fulfilling life. It would be my privilege to journey alongside you as you work towards aligning with your values and embracing your authentic self. I look forward to supporting you in your goals towards improved mental and overall well-being.
Personally, I am married to an educator and we have 3 adult children. Our fur babies are very much a part of our family. Henley joins me as a co-therapist and is at the office most of the time. Sometimes she gets the day off to go to doggy daycare to play with her canine friends.
